LIFE INSTRUCTIONS | 2

I’ve just returned from an incredible vacation to Colorado with a few of my good friends. To say that it was beautiful there would be a grand understatement. The scenery was stunning, vast, lush, and refreshing to take in.  I was easily reminded of how small I am, figuratively and literally, while standing on a mountain top three miles high into the sky.

Sometimes I forget to stop/think/breathe/reflect, and forget about my first world problems, unless of course I’m zenned-out in yoga class. I don’t necessarily need the mountains for this exercise, but man, they’re nice to have around sometimes. I’m the type to seek fresh air through my friendships, spending quality time with my family, and trying new things. Those things make me happy!

Today happens to be the anniversary of my birth. I’m so excited to have another year to look forward to. I’m blessed to have good health, several sets of exceptional parents as role models, and an awesome group of friends, both near and far, to turn to when I need fresh air.

Upon the suggestion of one of those friends, I’ll be sharing some big, hairy, audacious goals here on the site very soon. I think that publicizing them for you to see will in turn force me to be more vulnerable and accountable to what I deem important: advancing myself through these big + small achievements.

What do you think about goals and how often do you set them?
